Portable brief case unit, bench top unit, digital handheld unit, and inline real time laser analyzers, utilize 785 nanometer energy waves, (Optimal range in the color spectrum for distiguishing shade differences) to provide unparalleled accuracy and repeatability in color and shade detection. ColorTrack applications include roasted coffee, malt hops, french fries, as well many others.
Instead of operating with a human eye simulation color model, the ColorTrack Benchtop uses a sophisticated laser module and software, to transmit and receive some 10,000 reflection signals per second, while the sample rotates beneath the lens.

What this means is the entire path of sample beneath the lens is measured, providing data from approximately 200,000 signals in a recommended 20 second scan. The data acquisition module collects and converts the readings to a series of digital signals, that are then transferred to a pc, by means of a USB Plug.
The included software, then expresses the data in a statistical format, including the average reading, mode, minimum and maximum values, as well as standard deviation. A graphical representation is also provided, and the results can be saved and stored, or sent by email to another location
