Measure surface and interfacial tension quickly and accurately in oils, detergents, serums, colloidal suspensions, chromium solutions, etc. to better control your process and your product quality. The CSC DuNouy Tensiometer is easy-to-use, accurate, portable and gives results reproducible to within +/- 0.05 dyne/cm.
The Interfacial Tensiometer measures both upward and downward forces, for the determination of liquid /gas, as well as liquid/ liquid interfaces.
Delivered complete with platinum iridium ring and carrying case, allowing you to get rapid measurement in 15 to 30 seconds right out of the box.
The CSC DuNouy Tensiometer is also being used in many universities and technical centers as an important instrument for scientific studies.

DU NOUY INTERFACIAL TENSIOMETER
The Du Nouy Ring Method is the best known method for measuring the surface tension of liquids. A platinum-iridium ring is placed into the liquid, and then slowly pulled out so that a lamella is formed at the air interface. The force needed to pull this lamella is a direct measure for the surface tension of the liquid.
This method is particularly suitable for comparing the surface tensions of aqueous solutions of various surfactants, or of clear solventborne coatings.
With the Interfacial Tensiometer, the ring is attached by insertion in to a sleeve, which allows the ring to measure with both upwards and downwards pull.
