The Sine-wave Vibro Viscometer measures viscosity by detecting the driving electric current necessary to resonate two sensor plates at a constant frequency of 30Hz, and amplitude of less than 1mm.
Using a newly patented Tuning-fork Vibration Method, The SV Viscometer allows for high accuracy in a wide variety of measurement ranges, without replacing the sensor plates!

SINE-WAVE VIBRO VISCOMETER (PRECISION SVA SERIES)
1. RsVisco creates the real-time graph of data received from A&D's SV-series viscometer via RS-232C.
RxVisco lets you graphically monitor in real time:
■Progress of change in viscosity during measurement
■Temperature data
■Temperature and viscosity, graphed together
TUNING FORK METHOD (HOW IT WORKS)
Two spring plates are vibrated with a uniform frequency, the amplitude varies in response to the amount of frictional force produced by the viscidity between the sensor plates and the sample. To produce uniform amplitude, the vibro viscometer controls the electrical current that drives the vibration of the spring plates.
Because the frictional force of viscidity is directly proportional to the viscosity, the driving electric current for vibrating the spring plates with a constant frequency to produce uniform amplitude is also directly proportional to the viscosity of each sample.
The vibro viscometer measures the driving electric current, and then the viscosity is given by the positive correlation between the driving electric current and the viscosity.

You can choose from three types of graphs:
■Viscosity (Y axis) - Time (X axis)
■Viscosity/Temperature (Y axis) - Time (X axis)
■Viscosity (Y axis) - Temperature (X axis)
Windows CT VISCOSITY SOFTWARE
Using an RS232C interface, the WinCT-Viscometer Software, allows the Sine-wave Vibro Viscometer to display measurement progress in real time on a PC, and easily transmit the measured results to save or analyze. Changes of viscosity and temperature over time, as well as the correlation between viscosity and temperature, can be observed visually.
2. Graphs can be overlaid in repeating measurements, in 10 colors.
3. Measured data can be saved in a CSV format file.
4. Displayed graphs can be printed with a printer via a PC.

NOTES:
The vibration viscometer is accredited as a Japan Calibration Service System (JCSS) standard device by the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE), along with the capillary viscometer and the rotational viscometer.
The sensor plates have very small thermal capacity, and cause only minute displacement in the sample liquid, which prevents changes to the temperature and the physical properties of the sample.,
Since the two sensor plates vibrate in reverse phase, it is possible to measure the viscosity of a sample while flowing or being stirred.
