MOISTURE DETERMINATION IN AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES
Besides having an impact on storage life, and the development of molds and bacterias, there are definite financial considerations that need to be considered relative to moisture levels in grains and agricultural commodities. Too much moisture in a crop also means increased energy costs for farmers, as well as quality control concerns relative to the drying process.

Laboratory grade equipment is now used to measure moisture levels in just seconds. Portable moisture analyzers like the SINAR MOISTURE PROBE, or the DRYPRO INLINE DRYER MONITORING SYSTEM  are used all along the transport trail of the grains. Buyers have a vested interest in whether they are buying product or water. Low moisture levels in grains can also shed insight in to improper storage or, "old inventory".
This hand held  moisture analyzer offers convenience in the field.
